You and Bobby Fischer -- ChessCamp
Have you got what it takes? You don’t have to be a genius, but you have to be good at games of strategy. Chess camp is designed for students ages 6-16 with abilities to learn and play chess from experienced chess teachers. Principles of tactics and strategy will be taught to prepare you for more rigorous competition. The program emphasizes critical thinking, visualization skills, problem solving skills, concentration and self-discipline, and raises self-esteem. Instruction is supplemented with activities designed to reinforce the new skills you learn and to provide ample opportunities for practice playing chess.
Who can attend?
Chess Camps is designed for players of all abilities. The teaching techniques allow those who are just learning to grow while stronger players discuss strategy and tactics.
All required materials are provided. Children will receive a summer camp T-shirt and a trophy upon completion of the course. We will provide the game boards and pieces and will make chess sets available for sale at the completion of the course.
